I am a post doc fellow at the Institute for the Management of Information Systems (IMIS) of the Research and Innovation Centre in Information, Communication and Knowledge Technologies "Athena". I am also teaching "Databases" in the Masters Program of the Department of Computer Science and Technology in The University of Peloponnese and "Computational methods in Geoinformations" in the Geoinformatics Master's program of NTUA (co-teaching with Prof. Sellis) as an Adjunct Lecturer. I received my phd in 2007 from the National Technical University of Athens, under the supervision of Prof. Timos Sellis and I have spent the following year (2007-2008) as a post-doc researcher in The University of Hong Kong, in collaboration with prof. Nikos Mamoulis. My main research interests lie in the areas of privacy and indexing for containment queries. I am also interested in the management of spatiotemporal data, in ETL modelling and pattern bases.
